2013 Buick Encore Crossover Mostly Unveiled Ahead of Full Reveal in Detroit
A few weeks ago Buick announced that it would bring a new small crossover, the 2013 Encore, to the Detroit auto show and released a single image of the car’s headlight. Since then, Buick has continued the teaser-image game with a section-by-section reveal on Facebook. Today, the automaker finally revealed enough of the car—three unimaginative puzzle pieces!—that we can pretty much see what it looks like.
The two-row Encore will be much smaller than Buick’s three-row Enclave, and as a result it looks like a squished version of its more elegant, larger sibling. The Encore will be smaller than even GM’s Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain twins, as the baby Buick will share a platform with the Chevy Sonic. We’ll be reporting live from the Detroit auto show next week, so check back then for the full story on (and the fourth quadrant of) Buick’s littlest CUV.
