Morocco controls most of Western Sahara. Most of the south east portion of the country is in the Sahara Desert and as such is generally sparsely populated and unproductive economically. A large part of Morocco is mountainous. The Atlas Mountains are located mainly in the center and the south of the country. The Rif Mountains are located in the north of the country. Rabat is the capital and third largest city of the Kingdom of Morocco with a population of approximately 650,000 (2010). Casablanca is Morocco's largest city as well as its chief port. Casablanca is considered the economic and business centre of Morocco, while the political capital city of Morocco is Rabat...."
