You can share the site pouch such that they can be used on other browsers or even other computers.





SitePouch is a nice service to browse to multiple sites quickly and easily, but having said that there are few sites which does not load in iFrame method and hence these cannot be used with SitePouch.

With the release of Windows Vista, Microsoft has made the system files read only for normal users in Windows. You cannot delete or modify system files unless you take ownership of the files. This feature was carried forward to Windows 7 as well. Although Windows allows you to modify the permission, it is not a direct process. NTFS Permissions Tool is a simple freeware tool which allows you to set permission on any file or folder in Windows and also change the ownership of files.

Most of the applications creates a desktop shortcut and menu uninstaller can uninstall using this shortcut.

Windows 7 by default has set program associations for particular set of files, for example, .doc file is associated with Word 2010 if you have installed it. You can also set the file association for any new file extension using Windows interface. Windows Control panel lets you change the program associated with any file extension, but there is no option to set it to the default value. This means, once you set a file association, there is no way to reset it (you can reset using registry hack). Unassociate File Types is a simple portable freeware tool which lets you quickly reset the file associations.


Unassociate File types


This utility helps you unassociate a file type quickly in your Windows Vista or Windows 7 PC as they do not provide a GUI option to unassociate file types.


All you need to do is to select the file type from the list, the list is populated directly from Windows and click on the button, remove file association. This will removes the user-specific association (via the Open With dialog) for the chosen file type. Deletes the file type button completely removes the association from the registry. Both the user-specific and global associations for the chosen file type is removed.


This utility requires administrative privileges to work correctly and works only with Windows Vista and Windows 7 only.

Windows has lots of DLLs or Dynamic Link Libraries which controls the way it functions. The number of libraries are large in number that you might not know which feature or function (exe file) is using a particular library. Static Import Finder is a nice freeware tool for Windows which can find and display the details of all the libraries in a particular folder. Static Import Finder finds all matching functions/dll statically imported by exe or dll in a specified directory.

You just need to select the folder from which you want to get the dll details. Once you specify the folders, the app searches for all the dlss and finds the function name and the path of the dll. You can export results to a .html, csv, xml or .txt file.


There is also option to searh based on library name or function and you can also select the file types to search.

There are many image and file sharing online services available, but the one which stands out is the one which has the most simplest of interfaces and easy to share options. Min.us is a simple file and image sharing service with the simplest of UI and best of sharing options. The website has a drag and drop interface by which you can simply drag files on to the interface from the browser and it is automatically uploaded. You can also create an account or share the file without creating an account.

If you have multiple folders, you can create a gallery of photos and then share the gallery with your friends. You can share music, PDFs, and text documents along with images using this service. Here is a sample gallery showing how it displays file.


You can set the galleries or files to be private or public and also delete them any time you want. The maximum file size is 50MB which is fairly good enough for a file sharing service. The service also has desktop and mobile tools for sharing files, supported platforms can be found from here.

SlideMyPics is a nice free website which can create HTML5 powered slideshows from your images hosted in Flickr, Facebook, Picasa, Photobucket and SmugMug. You can sign into any of these services and import the photos and then create the slideshow which is completely customizable.

Once logged in, select the album which you want to share and then select individual photos. Once you have selected the photos, you can set the size of the slideshow along with the template. There are three templates to choose from. You can also customize the background color of the slideshow. There is also option to add a background music to the slideshow. Music can be played from YouTube videos.

Once created, you can either embed the slideshow on any website or share the link to your friends. You can also email the details directly from the interface. SlideMyPics is a nice slideshow creator in HTML5 and the ability to add photos from popular photo sharing sites makes it handy.
