Giant Optimus Prime statue sees rainbow gush from my mouth
There is just one thing about robots that tend to fascinate mankind – otherwise, how else do you explain the amount of money raked in by the Transformers franchise over three films, despite the fact that the second and third parts were unable to live up to the first movie in terms of storytelling and fleshing out of its characters? Not to mention other robot films and cartoons that had made an impact in our lives all these years, too. For those who feel that they have this strange attraction to Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots, here is one memento that you definitely could make do with in your living room – a 2.7 meter tall Optimus Prime.
I am quite sure in real life (fictionally speaking, that is – I know that came across as weird), he is far taller than this, but considering this is a hand-made effort that was built using recycled metal, useless auto parts as well as other machines, it is a true masterpiece. The asking price for this half ton behemoth? We are looking at $10,500 here, and that does not even take into account shipping costs.

Liquid Image introduces the EGO HD
We have reported on Liquid Image products before. They are most most effective at making digital cameras that are mounted onto specially made goggles.
Clearly, the crowd for these devices are the extreme sports people, the ones who ski, dive, ride, or some other type of daring activity that I don’t do. This crowd would be familiar with GoPro and Contour cameras that attach to helmets, and it would appear that Liquid Image wants to get in on this tiny camera action with their new line of EGO HD.
The EGO HD is a “mini extreme sport camera for surfboards, autos, bikes, motorcycles, kayaks, or anything that you want to mount your Ego to”. It streams video via smartphones, tablets, or computers, and no extra wireless module attachment is required for wireless Live streaming.
It has some interesting ports like a micro-USB, and I believe this is where the power goes. I believe the footage records on a microSD, and I believe that there is an HDMI port there, but don’t quote me on it.
The Ego HD will come in a variety of colors which include black, white, blue, red, and green. I don’t yet have a price, but I believe it will be low.

PrimeSense geared to make everything on your TV motion-controlled
While I was meandering from booth to booth at CES, I saw one display for PrimeSense, and I thought that someone was just playing Fruit Ninja for the Kinect.
Instead, I discovered PrimeSense, a way of taking control of the television with motion control, not just the video game aspect. It would appear that PrimeSense is ready to take the Kinect to the next step, and their 3D sensor, shown here in this picture, is prepared for a new future.
PrimeSense enabled me to take control of my video content. From a motion-controlled menu, I was able to select different videos by making a grabbing motion and pulling it to me. Their channel surfing menu was set up so I could see all my channels simultaneously, and I could select one with the grabbing method.
In addition to these cool features, PrimeSense is definitely trying to get developers on board with their Natural Interaction (NI) software. Since it is open source, this will surely lead to a lot of users creating all kinds of apps for PrimeSense software. Something tells me that voice control is going to get involved as well.
So I guess that we are all looking forward to a future of motion-controlled televisions. This is assuming that we will even want video content in our living room. You can learn more about PrimeSense here.

Instant Flat Tire Sealer And Inflator
I have gone through my fair share of flat tires in the past 10 years since getting my license, and it is always a hassle to take out the replacement tire. Soiling my hands is not an issue, but to sweat in the tropical heat at the side of a dusty road while jacking up the car? That, I absolutely loathe. Still, an electronic jack would be useful, and just in case no motor workshops are open during that day, or I happen to be stranded in some backwater area, the $59.95 Instant Flat Tire Sealer And Inflator would definitely come in handy after some hard driving.
This device is capable of patching and inflating a flat tire in just 10 minutes, and you do not even need to lift the car or remove the tire. After all, it has a built-in compressor that pumps air and the included sealant through the flat tire’s air valve, making sure the tire is patched and inflated at the same time. Using a patented water-based nano-fiber sealant, it is capable of patching holes up to 1/4″ wide and a built-in pressure gauge will let you know whether the tire has been inflated to its optimal air pressure. Just bear in mind that this is not a permanent solution – it is recommended that you replace your patched tires, as they can be driven up to 125 miles.

Electronic Pedaler helps you burn those fats
The recent holidays have certainly seen many of us feasting more than fasting, and no doubt the lack of exercise will see us losing the battle of the bulge – especially around the waist and thighs. It is time to get on with the program and step up all efforts, so here is the $159.99 Electronic Pedaler that might just aid you in your “fight”. Instead of making your way to the gym, waiting for a particular machine to be available, the Electronic Pedaler can be used in the comfort of your home, where it is touted to improve users’ muscle tone and cardio strength, allowing you to work out even when you have the TV turned on and your favorite sitcom is being played.
You can choose from “manual” mode or switch to “automatic” for a whisper-quiet, power-assisted workout, making it ideal for just about anyone with limited mobility. Basically, it will “coax” the legs to cycle smoothly without applying any forceful, jerky movements, starting from a relatively easy 35 rpm . Once you feel that you are ready to step up a level, there is the option to speed up incrementally to a more robust 65 rpm. It takes around 15 minutes each day to improve your muscle strength and range of motion in the legs and arms/shoulders. There is also an easy-to-read LCD control panel that shows the number of calories burned, “distance” covered, time elapsed and rpms.
