Is the Range Rover Evoque a real Range Rover…? That’s the question behind this Evoque road test by AutoExpress and it’s a well-put question given that Range Rover is the quintessential SUV - lifestyle, luxury and driving prowess. Not many other brands come close. So where does the Evoque fit into all of that?

The Evoque is a sportier and more compact vehicle that will take the brand into a new market - so perhaps not for Range Rover traditionalists anyway. Despite some amusingly silly tests, the Evoque comes across as luxurious, comfortable and with high quality interior finishes. We especially like the coke test because that’s definitely not something you’d want to spill on your Range Rover seats.

Now to how it drives. After the jump is the second part of the Evoque test and we find out that it actually handles quite well. We don’t think it’s really been put to the offroad test as such, but it’s definitely a great little lifestyle SUV and that’s where its market’s at.

The Lamborghini Gallardo gets a new body-kit from Cosa Design with a new front fascia, redesigned side sills, new rear bumpers and a huge aerodynamic rear wing. That wing at the back is not the only thing that makes the bum of this look very aggressive - there is also a dedicated diffuser and squared-off massive exhaust.

Cosa Design has used the Reventon as inspiration for the body panelling, but that’s not where this hard tuning effort stops. The mechanics get updated with the new exhaust taking power to 540 hp - an increase of 40. With torque at 550 Nm, the Gallardo Cosa Design has a top speed of 317 km/hr.

For those wanting to take things to the extra next level, there is also a set of new adjustable suspension and brakes with no less than eight pistons. Finally it’s shod with 20-inch wheels and AutoEvolution describes this as the best-looking Gallardo makeover ever. See for yourself in the gallery.

The Citroen C1 Accessorize is a special edition C1 by the noted accessories fashion house will be available on the market from September. Clearly a car for girls, the C1 Accessorize comes in white, grey or black with fuschia pink rearview mirrors and Accessorize sticker logos. On the inside, we get personalised car mats and door sills, along with the serial number of the production vehicle - from 1 to 500.

Clearly you can’t have the name without the kit to go with it and the Citroen C1 Accessorize comes with a weekend bag with umbrella, notebook with pen, sunglasses case, small mirror, travel badge and key ring. The C1 Accessorize model uses the one-litre, 68-hp version with either manual or automatic transmission. Included is stereo system, MP3 and Ipod outlet and sta nav. Prices start at 12,000 euros.

Here is our third instalment in our day at Maranello series, when we check out the Ferrari Atelier and personalisation showroom. This is where dreams are handed out and unless you’ve got the budget to back them, that’s all they’ll ever be. Still, our visit to the Ferrari Personalisation and Atelier shows just how good Ferrari is at allowing their customers to put their personal stamp on their very own Prancing Horse.

Pretty much every Ferrari that leaves the gates of Maranello is different - nearly 100 percent of customers access the Ferrari personalisation program on buying their car. The range of options is impressive as it is, but it will soon expand even further. The One to One Ferrari program and personalisation options already on offer will soon be joined by the Lapo Elkann California.

Each Ferrari is different from the last and it’s part of what drives the high demand. There are a few limits to each customer’s imagination, though, most of which come down to not modifying the roadgoing or safety standards of the vehicles - but also essentially, what doesn’t damage the brand image in any way at all. For example, a pink Ferrari will never be produced they say - Paris Hilton and co you are on notice.
