Lexus will be exhibiting at the SEMA Show for the fifth year. It’s the only luxury car maker that has its own display at the extravaganza.
The highlight will be the first showing of the fourth-generation GS 350, which was revealed at Pebble Beach in August, with an F Sport package. It includes 19-inch wheels, F Sport-tuned Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS), thicker anti-roll bars, bushing changes and larger front brakes with high friction pads. In addition, rear-wheel drive models will be equipped with 19-inch staggered width wheels and Variable Gear Ratio Steering (VGRS). Inside, the all-new package also features a new 16-way power driver’s sport seat, unique interior design treatment and optional F Sport exclusive Cabernet Red leather interior.
As with the GS 350, the GS 350 with F Sport package is powered by a 306-horsepower 3.5-liter V6, with four cams and four valves per cylinder as well as dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence. Lexus claims it is one of the most powerful base engines in the segment, as well as the only one with both port and direct injection.
In addition to the factory F Sport model, Troy Sumitomo and Five Axis returns to SEMA with a different take on the all-new GS 350. It features a stunning Glacier White Paint with custom Slate Gray accents, an AirRunner TC-5 air suspension system and custom fabricated exhaust with dual finishers.
From the preview photos it looks as if the most dramatic looking Lexus on display might be the Lexus CT 200h also built by Five Axis. This modified hybrid car has a custom widebody conversion, 19-inch wheels, Tein Flex coilover suspension system and a high performance brake kit.
If you’re looking for a performance convertible the IS 350C modified by VIP Auto Salon might catch your fancy. It features an aero styling kit with a Seibon carbon fiber hood, a high-performance exhaust system, F Sport springs, Bilstein shock absorber set, Toms upper shock tower brace and F Sport 19-inch full-faced forged alloy wheels. Performance is upped with a Power Enterprise Rotex Supercharger kit.
