Hi everybody,

strange problem with this pair: DP55KG either can't see Dialogic card in slot (no in bios and as result no in devices in windows device manager), or

sometimes it sees it (in bios and device manager) but attempt to start dialogic service tightly hangs windows

we have tried windows 2003 and winodws 2008, with the latest Dialogic SR 6.0

bios on motherboard is the latest 5926

RAM 4 Gb (2x2)

CPU i5 650

We have tried 3 dialogic cards - the same result, they all works nornal in x4 and x16 slots... but we need it working in x8 slot

what could we do to resolve the problem ?

I have built a new PC and all is good except for RAM. I had old RAM from a couple of years ago so I thought I would use that. It is OCZ PC3 1066 which is what the board can use. The board is a Intel MBI-DQ57TM. Well it would not boot with any of the RAM sticks installed, so changed the RAM to old DDR3 1066 Kingston RAM that was in the cupboard and all is good. I bought a 4GB 1066 PC3 Kingston stick of RAM to boost the PC to 8Gig and once installed it would not boot. Tried with just the new stick of RAM and no go. Removed this and installed the original RAM and all is good.

Any ideas?

Hi All,

seems it does not

after some experiments we find that Dialogic card that does not reqire IRQ works in x8 or x16 slots, but card who requires IRQ does not work (see http://communities.intel.com/message/126713 )

as we have 3 Dialogc cards:one Dialogic D600 (does not require IRQ) and 2 Dialogic DISI32(requires IRQ) we can't make all three cards working on system with DP55KG

as humor is these cards being x1 requires 25W power from the PCIe slot and x1 slot gives only 10W ( http://www.dialogic.com/support/helpweb/helpweb.aspx/990/power_budgeting_jumper_settings_for_pci_express_boards/JCT )... so cards should be installed to x4 or x8 or x16 slots....but as seems x8/x16 on this DP55KG are designed for video and we have a problems....

Also, BIOS on DP55KG has no feature to disable auto resource assign to additoonal PCI/PCIe cards

seems we have to find another motherboard(will it Intel I don't know now) with 3 PCIx slots more then x1 .... the question is how to know this new card will sure work with our dialogc stuff

I installed yesterday new bios 119 for DH67GD and tried the new feature giving the possibility to enable / disable hotswap on each sata port.
Management Engine driver updated, all drivers latest rev.
When using Microsoft drivers only I appréciate now to be able to disable hotswap on the system disk (port 0) and data disk (port1) which then does not appear in the safely remove icon.
Unfortunately, port3, considered before by windows 7 drivers as an hotswap port, has lost this property, even when enabled in the bios.
Inserting a disk is no more detected, and a disk present at startup does not appear in safely remove icon.
My sata ports:
0, 1 : internal HDD
2 : optical drive
3 : Hopefully for an Antec Easy sata rack for bare drive (hotswap needed)
4: e-sata for front case thru Antec Easy Sata extra cable/connector (or other mean to route port 4 to front bezel)
5: e-sata backplate.

With the new bios I have to use port 4 (e-sata) for the rack and the front bezel e-sata is lost.
Using Intel Rapid Storage (1027 rev) the result is the same.

I still have a B2 rev. PCH but I understood there is no change other than the famous transistor... and the ports are working fine (for the moment).

Any similar experience ?
