First Aid 2.0

First Aid 2.0:
First Aid 2.0 features a LED Red Cross panel that displays step-by-step instructions on how to administer first aid, relevant to the injury. It even has a GPS tracking system and can inform you about the nearest hospital or clinic. In the stressful situation of an emergency, this kit helps refines the process, which is the crucial first step in saving lives.
Powered by a lithium-ion battery and AC power, the kit consumes little energy when it is on standby mode. It is capable of operating for a full 24-hours (without recharging), or 6 months when on standby. Frequent injuries and their course of treatment are bookmarked on the screen’s home page for easy access. I love the way it doubles up as a subtle night lamp, so that it is easily reachable, even in darkness!
First Aid 2.0 is a 2011 red dot design concept winner.

Convenient Bottle

Convenient Bottle:
Convenient Cavity is a shampoo bottle redesign that allows you to pump out the liquid with one hand. The cavity provides and easy grip plus doubles up as a spot to hang the bottle from. And because of the emptiness in between, the pump’s pipe fits in the bottle at a slant, enabling you to extract all the liquid. Good for shampoo and any kinda liquid suds, if you ask me!
Convenient Cavity is a 2011 red dot design concept winner.

Less is More

Less is More:
The minimalist (and somewhat perplexing) Less is More timepiece finds harmony between analog and digital; square and circle. The wearer reads the time similar to an analog clock by observing a pair of esoteric LEDs, one large and one small, that revolve around a circular disc in the center of the square face.

Trees & Fairytales

Trees & Fairytales:
Gotta love the Tree Bookcase by Roberto Corazza! It breaks the monotony of classic horizontal shelving and provides a whimsical touch of fantasy when it comes to storing your books. Open on both the front and back sides, the single-cast, plastic case can be affixed to the wall or stand freely in the center of a room with accessibility from both sides.

Wino Rack

Wino Rack:
This design by Daniela Cruz puts old bottles to use, repurposing them as “hooks” you can hang your jacket or coat on. The coat rack comes in separate pieces for easy transport and can be easily self-assembled by the user… all it’s missing is your favorite bottle of wine!
