Putting Out Flames in Style:
One of the greatest pleasures of summer is to find a busted fire hydrant and experience the cooling water spray; simply enjoying the moment. With this proposed new design, taking advantage of a hydrant won’t be so easy thanks to the tamper proof top, which requires a deep socket to operate the valve. Like the design team explains, “The goal was to apply a contemporary and functional design aesthetic, creating a form that would be instantly recognizable.” Well done!

New Bathtub Obsession:
I am going to assume that the Lotus is a Bluetooth speaker that syncs with your smartphones and devices, to provide sublime auditory satisfaction while taking a soak. Float it next to your yellow duck and simply take in the ripple sensations as they stir the water in rhythm to the beats of the music. Waterproof et al, the Lotus has in it the makings of a brilliant new bath toy! I want one now.

Gotta love the über-cool iLoop iPhone holder! The designer was inspired one day while playing with an phone in one hand and an old exercise hand grip in the other. The resulting design has a playful aesthetic and is a nifty solution for stabilizing your iphone when you’re recording videos, FaceTiming with friends, or playing music.

Fighter Inspired:
Though the brand may be nearing its end, Swedish automaker SAAB will always be remembered for producing and advancing the technology of jet fighters still in use today. An ode to SAAB’s rich history, this coupe concept takes inspiration (and name) from the Viggen fighter, mimicking its lines, glass cockpit canopy and overall clean design.
