I must say i am NOT realy enjoying my time with the DP45SG, but something keeps me wanting to try fixing it after spending my hard earned money on something I can NO longer return for a full refund.

Audio: IDT 92xx Audio Driver 6224.3 v182 has problems after installing.

Fresh install of windows 7 64bit
windows updates
REBOOT
Install Nvidia driver so i can see better
REBOOT
install audio driver so i can activate the optical spdif output (for some reason the MS driver does give me a working spdif?)
asks me if its ok to restart and i give it permision to
During the restart procedure it tells me the system is hung trying to play the logoff sound. I can force it closed or cancel and wait. Canceling and waiting never works. Force it closed and the computer reboots finally.

Next reboot you can install 6244.3 v182 over itself and it seems to not care this time during the restart and plays the logoff withoug hanging.

Is this a known problem?
Is there a fix for this?
Has anybody else noticed this? (yes i know everyone threw this MB away)

I built two systems at home last years using the same following components on each:

- MASSCOOL FD08025S1M4 80mm Case Fan
- Sony Optiarc CD/DVD Burner Beige SATA Model AD-7260S-01
- Western Digital Caviar Blue WD2500AAJS 250GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5' Internal Hard Drive

I'm using the on-board graphics, network, and audio (e.g. no other cards installed). The only difference between the systems is one has a more powerful power supply, but the problem I'm experiencing is noticeable on both systems. Running Windows XP SP 3

I am wanting to use one for a digital audio workstation (DAW) and have purchased a Behringer UCA202 USB Audio interface to plug in my mixing board to for this purpose. The problem is I'm getting a very high-frequency humming through the "monitor" port on the Audio Interface. (I have very sensitive hearing and can actually hear this "hum" just by putting my ear to the back of the case/motherboard.) I have tried everything I can think of to get rid of this noise, but most improvements are minimal. I finally decided the Behringer interface must be bad, but I tried it on two other systems at work (a notebook PC and a desktop PC) and the background is totally silent. Therefore, there must be something in the chipset / processor / memory / power supply configuration that is causing this high-frequency oscillating sound.

I would greatly appreciate any ideas...

Hallo

Habe das Bord DP43BF mit Win7 64 bit.

Aktuellten Soundtreiber von intel Download installiert.

Nun zum Problem.

Wenn ich die Kopfhörer auf der Frontseite einstöpsel wird der auch erkannt.

Leider manuelles umstellen von 5.1 auf Stereo erforderlich. Währe ja toll wenn das getrennt einstellbar währe.

Beim testen kommt alles zu 80% von links und 20% etwa von rechts.

Wenn mit Audioplayer abgespielt passiert volgendes.

Wenn L R auf mitte steht kommt hur die Hindergrundmelodie an beiden seiten an.

Auf L gestellt kommt Alles auf beiden Seiten an und auf R genauso.

Als wenn da 5.1 Daten an einen Stereoanschluss geschickt würde.

Gibt es dafür eine Lösung?

Hab auch HD und AC97 Stecker vom Frontanschluss getestet, beides das selbe Ergebniss.

Hi all,

I've got a brand new DH55HC motherboard. Everything works fine, except for the two USB ports next to the PS/2 port. I booted the machine with the keyboard plugged in, but it gave me an error saying that there's no keyboard found. I tried the ports on the front panel. They worked and I installed Windows 7 succesfully. After that I tried plugging in the mouse, keyboard and USB stick to those two ports, but nothing worked. At first I thought there's something wrong in the BIOS settings, but couldn't find anything. Any ideas? Or should I just ask for a replacement?

I've had a media center PC built with a DG45ID motherboard for about 3 years. I upgraded to Windows 7 when it was first released, and since it's been so long, I don't remember if I had this issue with Vista as well or just Windows 7. Anyway, on to the problem...

Many times when I start Windows Media Center, I just get a black screen I have to ctrl+alt+del to use task manager and end the Media Center. The only way to get it working again is to reboot the computer. Over the past year I've searched the internet for solutions, but the only thing I've found was a suggestion that there may be an issue with my audio or video drivers. I've always made sure to have the most up to date drivers as well as BIOS version for my motherboard. This did not help, so I eventually tried a different video card. At first I just upgraded to a video card that ran component video cable to my TV because the HDMI input had stopped working. I was still running the onboard audio with a digital optical audio cable to my surround sound receiver. The problem still existed.

Eventually, I got the HDMI input on my TV fixed, so went back to running audio and video through the integrated HDMI port from my motherboard. Still having the same issue, I added a Nvidia video card with HDMI. The Media Center crashing issues stopped. After a few weeks, I realized that I was not getting 5.1 surround sound like I had been getting with the Intel audio drivers. I was only getting sound through my front speakers, so I switched back to the digital optical audio from the Inted IDT audio. Within the first 10 minutes, Media Center crashed again.

I would just be content with the audio from my Nvidia card if I could get 5.1 surround sound with it, but since that is not working, I was wondering if anyone had any solutions I could try to keep the Intel IDT audio drivers from crashing Media Center.

Hi Folks,

Been encountering a very strange issue of late. We been using Intel DQ67OW Boards for the last few months pretty much without issue until our latest batch where we are now seeing the machines Randomly Restart without Bluescreens and the only error in the Event Log is a Kernel power error telling us that the machine restarted unexpectedly.

The only promenant change I can see is the BIOS Version which on our new batch of machines came in with BIOS 51. I have since upgraded and tested BIOS Version 52 with no change.

I am unable to force the issue to occur it just decides to restart without any sort of provocation.

Have any of you seen this happen before?? If so could you let me know if you have come across a workaround or a solution.

I purchased a DG35EC mobo back in 2/09 and have been running WIndows 7 64bit, Q6600 cpu with 4*2gb sticks - everything is running great and computer build has been great. About 1week ago i click my computer and it said only 6gb memory. Well the computer has been saying 8gb ever since the build. Well I went into the bios and it is the newest bios on intel site and under the memory only 3 banks show 2gb the 3rd bank is (not installed it says). I have switched memory around and tried all 4 in that slot and none work in that slot but work great in the other 3 slots. I even put in a 1gb stick of memory and it worked in all 3 slots and not the 3rd slot. Anyone have any ideas about what might be wrong besides a bad memory slot. I have contacted Intel since it is still under warranty and they said send it back and they would send me one but that leaves me without a computer for 1-2weeks. They said they could ship another one out and pay for it and then send the other back. I would have a new mobo the next day but have to pay for it. They said it was under warranty. Please help

Moin, moin.

Bin vor kurzem von einem C2D E8400 auf einen Ci3 2100 umgestiegen. Zwangsweise war damit ein Boardwechsel erforderlich.

Da der Rechner möglichst sparsam sen sollte habe ich mich für das Board DB65AL antschieden. Auf meinem ehemaligen Board - ein Board mit ICH9R Southbridge hatte ich damals ein Matrix-RAID eingerichtet. Nun kann ich dieses RAID jedoch weder unter Windows noch während einer Neu-Installation mit und ohne extra eingebundene Treiber ansprechen / löschen / verändern.

Ein Anruf bei INTEL brachte mich ebenfalls nicht weiter - angeblich unterstützt das Board kein RAID (Englisch sprechende Hotline unter deutscher Nummer am 04.06.2011 / 13:00 Uhr), was jedoch laut http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/CS-020811.htm#sysreq schon so wäre.

Vielleicht hat ja jemand eine Idee, andernfalls, werde ich die Platten wohl mal an den alten Rechner anschließen & dort von den RAID-Partitionen befreien.

Hello everybody.

I have a problem with DP45SG motherboard.

It is switched to RAID (in BIOS) and it has only one graphic card inserted into PCI x16 slot and one Promise FastTrak TX2300 SATA II controler inserted into PCI slot.

The problem is that I don't see Promise onboard BIOS (as if it does not exist).

The RAID configuration appears but the Promise onboard BIOS does not appear.

I've tried to insert the controller into another MBO (old MSI MBO) and it works great there.

I've also tried to insert the controller into different PCI slots but with no luck.

Do you have any idea how to solve this?

Hi, today I tried to update my BIOS from version 5924 to 5926 using file KGIBX10J.86A.5926.EB.EXE (which is the way I've done multiple updates).

Anyway, after the installation of the software, the computer rebooted, appeared to flash the BIOS without error, then restarted. After the reboot, the screen was blank and I was getting 2 long beeps followed by a pause and then 2 long beeps again. I tried forcing the computer to enter the BIOS using the button on the back of the IO panel on the motherboard, clearing the CMOS via the jumper and also removing the jumper to enter recovery mode with the .BIO version of the BIOS on a USB flash drive. Nothing worked.

Finally I started removing all the peripherals one at a time to see if something was causing an issue. It turned out the memory was causing the issue. I could only have one of my memory modules installed in Channel A, DIMM 0. The second I added a second, third, or fourth memory module, I would get the beeps again.

I reflashed back to version 5924 using one memory module and reinstalled all four of my 2.0GB memory modules and everything was fine again.

CONCLUSION: There is some sort of issue with my memory modules and the 5926 BIOS update.

As the title suggests, I'd like to know whether the DisplayPort connector on the DH67-CF motherboard (H67 chipset, i5 2400S CPU) is capable of dual-mode operation. Which is to say, I'd like to be able to connect it to a DVI monitor with a simple DisplayPort-to-DVi cable.

More generally, I'm trying to figure out my best approach for getting two DVI-D connections out of the onboard HD Graphics 2000, given that my motherboard socketry is one DVI-I, one DisplayPort, and one HDMI. I understand that HDMI should be ok, but I'm thinking the DisplayPort socket might be a little sturdier, as long as it actually passes DVI-compatible signals. Any advice?

Built a DX58OG with i7 950 and six Kinston KHX1600C9D3K2/8GX ram modules installed (24 GB). No OC or tweaking features used. System will randomly lock up every day and requires a hard reset. With three Kinston KHX1600C9D3K2/8GX ram modules installed (12 GB) system is stable for one month now. Would like to run with 24 GB.

Test notes

With 6 ram modules (24 GB)

run Heavyload - fails after ~ 40 minutes

run MS Security Essentials, full scan - fails after ~ 60% of scan completed

At each failure system locks up, mouse & keyboard lights turn off. Hardware reset is required.

With 3 ram modules (12 GB)

run Heavyload - pass every time

run MS Security Essentials, full scan - pass every time

During tests which I ran for 28 days (I'm patient) I replaced the following items one after the other until only the original DX58OG board remained:

hard drives

video card

power supply

all ram modules

Anyone have an idea about how I can get a 24 GB system running 100%?

Greetings - I have a DH67CL board with current BIOS (0119), WIN 7 and i7-2600k CPU. Today I installed an Intel SSD 320 series (80GB) and cloned it to be my sys drive. My previous sys. drive remains installed as a backup. After data migration I changed boot order in the BIOS and rebooted. The desk top utility issued a high temp alarm for "other/unknown temperature" which was indicating a current 33 deg C. The upper threshold indicated 0. I raised the threshold to 40 and no further problem. I shut down and rebooted, the alarm went off and I noted that the upper threshold had reset to 0. I increased the threshold and again it worked ok until I rebooted.

I downloaded and installed a new copy of the utility and am experiencing the same problem.

I would appreciate any help or advice you may provide. Thank you. Peter
