Hyundai is once again relying on its signature fluidic sculpture style to design the body of the new i30 Wagon, which will be on display at the next 2012 Geneva Motor Show (8th – 18th March). The Korean estate is characterised by a pronouced swage line that runs along the sides of the body, hexagon-shape grille and signature headlights, while the rear lights have the same design of the five door hatchback.

Hyundai i30 Wagon will be replacing the current i30 CW and its wheelbase measures 4,480 mm, 185mm more than its predecessor. The trunk space expands from 528 l (150 l more than the five-door hatchback) to 1,672 l, which brings the new i30 at the top of its class.

The i30 Wagon was designed at Hyundai’s European R&D Centre in Rüsselsheim, Germany, and will be available from October 2012. It will offer a choice of three petrol engines - 1.4 l (100 hp) and 1.6 l (120 hp and 135 hp) - and three diesel engines - 1.4 l (90 hp) and 1.6 l (110 hp and 128 hp).

New Audi A3: official pictures released

New Audi A3: official pictures released:

Audi A3 III

Ahead of its debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, some pictures posted on Carscoop have revealed how the new version of the Audi A3 will look like. The new three-door hatchback variant is just one of Audi A3’s new range, which will include the five-door Sportback, a two-door cabriolet and a four-door saloon. It is the first Audi to use the new MBQ platform, the Volkswagen group’s new modular transverse engine platform, thus anticipating the new Volkswagen Golf VII.

The styling of the new A3 is an evolution of the current generation: the grille and all the front seem to take its influence from the A1 and the A6 while the rear light clusters bring it in line with the current and already mentioned A6. As for the interior, the A3 sports a very clean and stylish layout thanks to the MMI infotainment system which controls and directs all the high-tech gadgets with minimal use of buttons.

The A3 will get a fresh line of engines that includes the VW Group’s new 1.4 l TSI with cylinder deactivation technology and the 1.6 l TDI, together with a range of models with more powerful engines. Audi will be at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show also with RS4 Avant, A6 Allroad e TT RS Plus.

Volvo V40: first official pictures released

Volvo V40: first official pictures released:

Prime immagini ufficiali della nuova Volvo V40

Some pictures of the new Volvo V40 have appeared online on Motodziennik’s Facebook page and apparently the polish mag has received the photos directly from Volvo.

The 5-door Volvo hatchback will be officially introduced to the public at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show and, from what we can see, it will feature some elements stylistically similar to the S60’s as well as some of the XC60, such as the hatch and the stretched-out tail lights. The choice of engines includes both petrols and diesels ranging from 1.6 to 2.0 l., and delivering between 114 and 241 hp.

This new hatchback will be 4.50 mt long and it will replace both the S40 and the V50, positioning itself between the C and the D segment. In the near future we will also see two more versions of the V40: a sedan and an XC featuring four-wheel drive and raised suspension.
