Buying your first DSLR is a fun time in your life, but it can also be confusing and frustrating. The two newest cameras are available for purchase – the Canon Rebel T1i and the Canon Rebel XSi. Both cameras are excellent according to every review. They offer a wide range of manual controls, as well as creative and auto features, and the image print quality is equal to any other camera in their class. The feature set on each camera is pretty close to the same when it comes to such things as megapixels, ISO settings, LCD screen, etc.

The T1i has video while the XSi does not

There are a couple of minor other differences but these are the main ones. The result is a difference in price of about 0. So the choice boils down to whether or not you need these two extra features in your new DSLR. There have been some negative comments along with all the positives in discussion of the video quality of the Rebel T1i, suggesting that it is not as good as some of the newer point and shoot cameras.

Most photographers move up to a DSLR camera because of the interchangeable lens possibilities and the other professional controls that are not available on the digital compact cameras, so the video capability, while attractive, is not a major consideration. Why not use the 0 you save by purchasing the Canon Rebel XSi instead of the T1i to add an external flash or a tripod to give you more flexibility in your photography?

Canon Pro Solutions 2011 show details revealed:

Canon has released full details about its 3rd Pro Solutions Show.

The annual event is being held at the Business Design Centre in Islington, London on the 25 and 26 October and is aimed at video, broadcast and still imaging professionals.

At the event, photographers will be able to experience everything from improving their shooting technique to post-processing and printing.

Several professional photographers have been announced as part of the line up. Giving seminars this year will be Jeff Ascough and Jonathan and Angela Scott, Magnum photographer Martin Parr, digital cinematographer Philip Bloom, landscape photographer David Noton, wildlife photographer and filmmaker Charlie Hamilton James and landscape photographer Charlie Waite.

Aside from Canon, other companies displaying their wares at the show include ASK Electronics, Hasselblad, Hahnemuehle, Hire a Camera, Imagework TV, Lastolite and Rosco, along with the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers and the Master Photographers Association.

Entrance to the show is free for users who pre-register online, or £8 on the door during the show - last year's show was visited by over 2,800 professionals.

Demonstration areas include different zones for EOS DSLR cameras, EF lenses and accessories, professional camcorders, broadcast lenses, large format printing and more.

We've been putting Canon's new ultra wide angle 8-15mm Fisheye zoom lens to the test. While we get on with the review, we thought we'd share some of the images that we've captured with the new lens, as well as share some initial comments on its performance.

The Canon 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye lens was announced back in August 2010 as the world's first fisheye zoom lens offering both circular and full frame images. Release of the lens was delayed because of the earthquake in Japan earlier in the year, but is now available for around £600 (street price).

Here are some of the first pictures we have shot with the lens, along with some initial thoughts on performance.

The lens allows you to focus extremely closely to your subject. In this image, we were only shooting with the front element only just over an inch from the sunflower.

Because the lens offers such a wide field of view, it's easy to accidentally include yourself in the shot. In this image, you can see reviewer Jeff Morgan's elbow and feet.

This image was shot using a Canon EOS 5D Mark II. Using a full-frame camera, you will get a fully circular image when the lens is used at 8mm.

When shooting at the widest angle, you'll notice a blue edging around the circle. It doesn't look too bad when the frame includes a blue sky, but with other subjects it can appear a little distracting.

The 8-15mm lens performs well shooting directly into the sun, with little to no loss of contrast, ghosting or flare. Flare does not seem so well controlled in infrared converted cameras.

Even at 14mm, you will still see some elements of vignetting at the corners, so again it's wise to only use the centre of the image.

At fully zoomed, the lens captures the whole of the scene up to the edge of the frame. This means that in practice, on a full-frame camera such as the 5D, the lens is most usable at fully wide, or fully zoomed.

The 8-15mm lens performs well shooting directly into the sun, with little to no ghosting or flare.

You can see that purple fringing is evident, take a closer look at the 100% crop to get a better idea. You should be able to remove this type of fringing when processing in the raw converter though.

Because the depth of field is so large, you need to be careful of anything that appears on the front element of the lens. In this picture, a stray raindrop can be seen.

This image was taken on an APS-C sized camera, the Canon EOS 7D. On a crop sensor camera you have an excellent quality 10mm to 15mm zoom lens does not sound like a large range but it really is!

The lens is infrared friendly and does not appear to exhibit the centre "hot spot" that so many modern lenses do.

This image was shot on a 7D at 8mm. At first look this may not be a very useful setting with the vignetting, but most panorama software will convert 4 of these images each shot at ninety degrees to each other into a great seamless 360 degree panorama.

Back in June, Lytro announced it was developing a new camera technology to allow photographers to shoot first, focus later. Using 'light field' technology, the camera would allow for action to be captured quickly as it happens, with the focus point being set later.

We spoke to Lytro to find out more about this interesting technology, which has the potential to change a fundamental area of technology, especially in consumer compact cameras.

The idea for the shoot first, focus later camera first came to Lytro's CEO and founder Dr Ren Ng while writing his dissertation for a computer science degree. While photographing a friend's 5-year-old, he realised the limits of digital cameras when shooting a fast-moving or unpredictable subject.

While 'light field' technology had been around for a while, Ng focused on miniaturising it to allow it to be used in pocket sized cameras that would benefit everyday consumers. Working with professors at Stanford University, the team was able to create the prototype camera that was previewed in June and is expected to be available on the market later this year.

Light field

It's worth clarifying at this point, what exactly the 'light field' is. A Lytro spokesperson explains, "The light field is all of the light travelling in every direction in every point in space. Conventional cameras do not capture the light field; they just capture the 2D plane of light."

The Lytro camera includes a sensor for capturing the colour, intensity and direction of light. This information is processed on the camera, as well as on computers and via the internet. So, if you click on various points within the pictures on Lytro's website, you can alter the focus point (see example below). Lytro takes advantage of Flash and HTML5 to display the photos on the internet and calls these images, "living pictures."

This kind of technology has the potential to significantly alter the way consumers use point and shoot cameras. "Our first Lytro light field camera is designed to make taking great pictures effortless," said the spokesperson. "We hope that living pictures will give photographers a new creative avenue for taking pictures, letting them express themselves with an entirely new way to capture a scene. As more people take light field pictures, we're excited for the tremendous creativity and innovation that the camera will unleash."

At the moment, Lytro has no plans to move the technology into other sectors of the camera market, such as DSLRs, but it could be a possibility in the future. The spokesperson said, "For now, our focus with our first product will be to provide a Lytro-branded camera that is meant for everyday consumers to use."

There may be the following scenarios in which you unable to access to Windows:

Scenario 1: You forgot the password when you recently set a new administrator password.

Scenario 2: You type the correct logon password, but the system does not accept it because of corruption.

Scenario 3: You delete a protected administrator account. Now, you can’t log on to another administrator account.

Scenario 4: You change a protected administrator account to a standard user account. Now, you can’t access to another administrator account.



Follow these steps to use system restore feature to log on to system.

Step 7: Specify the disks you want to restore and click "Next".

Step 8: Click "Finish" and then click "Yes".

Step 2: Select "reset Windows local account password", and tick "CD/DVD" and choose your target device.

Step 3: Click "burn" to start burning Windows Vista password reset disk.

Step 4: With CD, boot the computer for which you lost the log-in password. And then choose the system you would like to reset password.

Step 5: Highlight the target account, and click "Reset". According to the wizard, reset the password. The last step you need to do is to reboot your PC to finish the reset.



I highly recommend you choose method 2 to remove Windows Vista password. Even though you forget Windows Vista password and are completely locked out of your Vista computer, you can easily and safely remove the forgotten Vista password and log on your computer again. Good Luck!
