What’s NOT good first:- The stabilisation is excellent, far better than most cameras, but after you have seen the Sony MC50′s “active” stabilisation you may feel a little disappointed. The Sony MC50 has a form of stabilisation which makes images appear to float and gives you a “virtual” steady cam effect. The Canon does a very good job and you don’t actually notice it doing it (which some may like)but you don’t get the same floating effect. The number of stabilisation modes and the fact that one can be switched on and off from a switch at the back of the camera while the other types are settings on a menu is confusing at the very least. – IMO.
