It wouldn't be a day ending in y if there wasn't at least one Nikon rumour floating about.

Here on this continually updated Nikon rumours page, you'll find the latest hot gossip, information and rumoured specs on what camera is likely to be announced.

Got any tip offs you'd like to share? Let us know via our Twitter feed, Facebook page or via email.

Nikon D4 rumours

Many people expected the D4 to make an appearance in August, to tie in with the fourth anniversary of the D3, and the second anniversary of the D3S.

However, no such camera appeared, but that hasn't stopped rumours continuing to circulate about the possible specs of this camera, which would sit at the top of Nikon's range.

Now that Canon has finally unveiled its flagship camera, the EOS-1DX, it can surely only be a matter of time before Nikon also follows suit, perhaps in time for the Olympics next year.

Nikon D800 rumours

The Nikon D800 has been rumoured for a long time, with some reports suggesting it should have made its appearance in the early part of 2011.

French guidebooks with D800 in the title popping up on Amazon seemed to be one of the biggest catalysts for conjecture, but alas nothing has, as yet, made an appearance.

It's possible that both the Japanese earthquake in March, and the Thailand flooding in October has put a delay on any impending release, with NikonRumors suggesting a press event in Belgium has been cancelled.

Nikon D400 rumours

The last in our trio of anticipated DSLRs, is the Nikon D400. It's more than two years since the D300S made its debut, so it seems very likely that an upgrade is imminent.

The D400 would sit at the top of the DX (APS-C sized) sensored cameras in Nikon's line-up, which should set it apart from the newer D7000.
