No Mall Thing

No Mall Thing:

No Mall Thing

While some people love going to the mall, these complexes are the last place where you’ll find me on a weekend. That doesn’t mean I don’t like parking lots, especially when they’re used for car shows or autocrosses. That’s why I agreed to help eBay launch its new shopping service as it looks to move beyond auctions into a retailing model similar to Amazon and other online merchants. As part of this program, eBay employed designer Jonathan Alder to create a series of storefronts in New York with participants ranging from actors to bloggers to select a product that would be featured along with a QR (Quick Response) code that would allow smart phone users to instantly shop items. I chose the 2012 Mustang Boss 302—one of my recent favorites. If you find yourself in New York City, check out of the storefront at 404 Park Avenue South through Nov. 10.
