German tuner Carlsson releases details and pictures of its new customization program for the Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG (type C218), aptly called “Red and White Dream”.
The stock model is powered by a 6.2-litre twin-turbo V8 engine credited with an already impressive output of 557 hp and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of peak torque, but the tuner managed to boost those figures up to a staggering 652 hp with 1,000 Nm (737 lb-ft) of torque, thanks to the addition of a a new exhaust system with metal catalysts and the re-mapping of the ECU. In terms of performance, the upgrade allows the CLS 63 AMG to burn the 0 - 100km/h (62 mph) in 4.1 seconds, shaving 2 tenths off the time of the standard car.
The ‘Red and White Dream’ body kit is also quite impressive, with carbon fiber front and rear spoilers, integrated rear diffuser and lip spoilers. The visual enhancement is completed by a set of 20″ Carlsson 1/10 Brilliant Edition light alloy wheels, a front axle lowered by 30 mm and “Diamond White Metallic” paint. Besides, Carlsson replaced the 3-pointed star logo on the front grille with its own badge. As for the interior, Carlsson Nappa exclusive “Santa Red” leather has been used for seats, door panels, rear bench, trunk and even floor.
