Prior Design refers to its new wide-body kit for the Mercedes-Benz CL coupe as being “bulky and majestic.” That seems like faint self-praise, especially considering how this massive German luxury coupe looks to have a bit of DTM racecar worked into its DNA. The cosmetic makeover is suitable for any C216 series CL, and includes revised front fenders, re-profiled side sills, and a widened rear that features massive fender flares. That extra sheet metal – or high-grade Duraflex to be exact – is needed to cover the 20-in. alloy wheels, especially those at the rear, which now measure 13 in. across. Customers can also order the body kit in carbon fiber.
