What It Is: A running prototype—and a fast-running one at that—of the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 coupe’s more extroverted twin. What isn’t yet confirmed is whether the roadster will have a cloth roof similar to that of its immediate antecedent, the MurciĆ©lago roadster, or something more substantial, such as a removable carbon-fiber panel. We hope rumors suggesting the latter are accurate, since the Murci roadster’s roof was little more than a makeshift pup tent for use only in a pinch. Although it probably doesn’t matter much: Given the natural habitat for most Lambos, most of these probably won’t have the roof in place very often. Regardless of the roof’s construction, nearly every other body panel appears to be shared with the standard Aventador; this is a good thing, since that car looks seriously bad-ass.
