Look Out, Halo Warthog: Rock Monster Wheels Brings Heavy Weapon to SEMA

Look Out, Halo Warthog: Rock Monster Wheels Brings Heavy Weapon to SEMA:

Company representatives tell us that Hutchinson Industries spends about 90 percent of its time focused on military projects, and that includes the manufacture of Rock Monster wheels. The unique two-sided bead lockers are the rare DOT-approved tire clamps, but that’s not what drew our attention to this olive-drab Wrangler.

What did would be the minigun on the roll bar. It’s an intimidating piece, but fear not. It only shoots plastic BBs. Actually, maybe you should fear: It fires about 10 of the little stingers a second. In other words, it’s firing roughly one tiny plastic pellet with every rotation of the engine’s crankshaft at redline. But normally 6000 rpm wouldn’t hurt as much as standing in front of this, um, “toy” would.
