Mopar Announces Accessories and Performance Parts for 2013 Dodge Dart

Mopar Announces Accessories and Performance Parts for 2013 Dodge Dart:

2013 Mopar Dodge Dart

The 2013 Dodge Dart only made its big debut a few days ago at the Detroit auto show, but already Mopar has announced that a slew of accessories and performance parts will be available for the new sedan. The number of pieces is somewhat impressive—Mopar says there will be more than 150—but the mods are less intensive than, say, Mopar’s engine-swapping Stage 3 kit for the Charger R/T, which was recently previewed by the Redline concept.

Most of the Dart’s Mopar goodies are styling bits; we’re hoping the exciting functional stuff comes later. So far a set of 18-inch wheels and a performance brake-upgrade kit (that includes new pads, calipers, and rotors) are the only performance-enhancing parts. Otherwise, Dart owners can choose from, among other things, a carbon-fiber grille insert and scooped hood; a matte-black chin spoiler, decklid spoiler, rear diffuser, and rocker-panel extensions; several roof- and trunk-mounted rack options; and (a few too many) chrome pieces, including side-mirror caps, a fuel door, and lower front intake trim.

Mopar also will offer in-car Wi-Fi connectivity and a wireless charger for phones and MP3 players. An OnStar-like smartphone app will also be available, and will let owners remotely start their Dart, lock or unlock its doors, and check vehicle parameters like current tire pressures, and more. Mopar’s Dart accessories will be available when the Dart hits dealerships later this year.
