Illest, an apparel brand out of California, built this 1990 Porsche 911 C4. The star of the build is the race-spec wide body kit from Rauh-Welt, a tuner based out of the Chiba prefecture in Japan. The matte-green paint is from TNT Autobody of San Francisco, California.
Filling out the fenders are Rotiform wheels, size 18 x 12.5-in. in back and 18 x 10.5-in. in front. The tires are Falken RT-615Ks, size 315/30ZR-18 rear, 265/35ZR-18 front.
The Porsche isn’t just for show, either. The 3.6-liter engine is fully built with stouter pistons and rods, and the turbocharging is from Precision Turbo. At 6 psi, the Illest 911 currently sends 400 bhp to the wheels. A retune with 15 psi is in the future plans, with a goal of 600-plus bhp at the wheels.
The rollcage was fabricated by FFtec in Hayward, California, and KW Variant 3 (with hydraulic lift system) suspension supports the stiffened chassis. Mark Arcenal of Illest plans on taking the Porsche to a time-attack event soon. Go green.
