The winner of the 2011 Scion Tuner Challenge was announced today at SEMA. Jon Sibal of JonSibal Designworks took home 1st Place honors and the $10,000 prize.
Judging was tight between 1st and 2nd, but Sibal’s 2012 Scion iQ nudged out Mike Chang from Evasive Motorsports’ iQ, which is based on anurban, livable theme. The judges were particularly impressed with the folding rear-mounted monitor that closed flush into the trunk, leaving plenty of trunk space.
When asked what he is going to do with his newly earned cash, Sibal said, “Pay of all the extra expenses it took to finish the build…and maybe get a nice steak.”
