It was back in January at the CES 2012 in Las Vegas when we first spotted the new N series range from Asus, but now more details are finally coming out on the range and they are quite impressive too.
Throughout the range an aluminium case is the first thing to notice, then comes the specs, Asus have gone with the Ivy Bridge processor range from Intel, GeForce 500 graphics cards from Nvidia and there are some series speakers from developed by Bang & Olufsen too. All of which make the N Series an interesting choice for consumers.
The N Series range comes in 14 inch, 15.6 inch and the 17.3 inch high definition display with a 1366 x 768 of pixel resolution, although there is the option for 1600 x 900 pixel resolution on the 15.6 inch and 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution on the 17.3 version, there is also a built in web camera and microphone.
These machines will be powered by the latest processors from the Intel Ivy Bridge range such as the Core i5 or the Core i7 processor. As for the graphics, the buyer will be getting the latest version of the Nvidia GeForce video cards for superb video playback using either the optical drive Blu-ray combo or the DVD player or burner.
Internal memory is up to 16 GB of DDR3 RAM at 1600 MHz. While storage offers a few possibilities including hard drives with capacities up to 1 TB and with speeds of 5400 RPM, or up to 750 GB with a speed of 7200 RPM.
The range will be running the full range of operating systems from Microsoft, such as Windows 7 Home Basic, Home Premium, Professional or Ultimate, all 64-bits and varying dramatically in price.
At this time, there is no information on how much these laptops will cost or in fact exactly, where or when they will available.
