For long, Samsung has produced some of the best Android smartphones in the market. Their flagship Galaxy S line has always been the most sought after by ardent Android buffs. The Samsung Galaxy S 2 was a huge hit worldwide, some even considered it to be better than Apple’s iPhone. Now while the world waits for Apple to announce it’s next generation iPhone, Samsung will be unveiling their Galaxy S 3 soon enough. The latest news about Samsung’s upcoming smartphone is that it will sport a Super AMOLED HD Plus display of a staggering 4.8 inches.
Oh, and it gets better. Samsung Galaxy S 3 will be simultaneously launched in over 50 markets/cities. Which means that major European as well as American markets will be getting it at the same time. For the Galaxy S line of smartphones, this is going to be the first ever simultaneous launch. Currently the release date is unknown, however Samsung has previously confirmed that they will be holding a special event for Galaxy S 3 launch a couple of weeks after Mobile World Congress 2012.
Flagship Android devices usually come with huge touchscreens. Take for example the Galaxy Nexus, a smartphone on which Google and Samsung collaborated. It has a 4.65″ inch display. The Samsung Galaxy S 3 with the 4.8″ inch touchscreen display will tout Super AMOLED HD Plus technology, and if it materializes, rest assured Android fans will be blown away. The source of this information also reveals a couple of other things. It is rumored that the Galaxy S 3 will have a quadcore processor, a bigger and better cameras and 4G LTE support. Google’s latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich will also reportedly be installed by default. Back panel of this upcoming smartphone is said to be made out of ceramic.
2012 is going to be an amazing year related to smartphones. Apple’s CEO recently stated that the products they will release in 2012 will ‘blow your minds’. We already know that Apple is readying up the iPhone 5, which is also said to have a quadcore processor, 4G LTE support and better cameras. Devout Android users anxiously await the release of Samsung Galaxy S 3, and I’m quite sure that it will not fail to impress.
