Abarth will be at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show with three new models to present. The Abarth 500 Cabrio Italia comes in exclusive Abu Dhabi Blue paint with black roof, tinted rear windows and chrome accents. It will equip the 1.4-litre TJet engine packing 120 hp and 230 Nm of torque.
The Abarth 500 Cabrio Italia model comes with a five-speed manual gearbox and is capable of hitting 100 km/hr in 7.4 seconds. The model gets EsseEsse brakes with four-piston front calipers in yellow, bi-xenon headlights, Sabelt leather sports seats with carbonfibre backs and a glass-aluminium pedal and gearstick finish. As the colour already suggests, the 500 Cabrio Italia will get a production run of 150 units to celebrate Italy’s anniversary of unification.
The Abarth Punto SuperSport is a new Punto tuned model in two-tone colours of grey and matte black. It has new exterior graphics, 18-inch blacked-out wheels with red brake calipers and EsseEsse system. The engine is the 1.4 Multiair with 180 hp and 270 Nm of torque. It has a top speed of 216 km/hr and acceleration to 100 km/hr of 7.5 seconds. The Punto SuperSport gets an EsseEsse suspension kit, new exhaust and the same lightweight Sabelt seats with contrasting stitching.
Abarth 500 Cabrio Italia, Punto SuperSport and 695 Competizione at Frankfurt
Finally the Abarth 695 Competizione is based on the 500 Assetto Corse racing model. It is a two-seater Abarth 500 with a matte grey competition paint job, chequered roof and internal roll bar. It gets Sabelt racing seats in leather with Alcantara red inserts and carbonfibre shell. The tri-colour steering wheel features the Abarth Competizione 5 gear paddles and two driving modes of street and track.
New Jaeger instrumentation appears and like the previous two models, Abarth Blue&Me MAP with telemetry features. The 695 Competizione comes equipped with a 1.4 TJet engine with more than 180 hp, Brembo brakes and dedicated suspension kit. The exhaust system is a dual mode Record Monza kit. All the models will be present at the Abarth Frankfurt stand and will be part of a presentation of Abarth’s new marketing campaign and initiative with the new slogan “Abarth, a world of performance since 1949″.
