Who says fashion and technology can't mix? Sprint, for one.
Today the carrier announced a new handset, the thin and superlight LG Marquee, putting it on track for an October 2 release. Powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread, the smartphone features a 1GHz processor, a 4-inch Nova display, 5-megapixel camera, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Known in other circles as the Optimus Black, the LG Marquee also offers users 512MB RAM, 2GB ROM, and requisite support for Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth.
For software, the Marquee offers Swype for its virtual QWERTY keyboard and the standard fare of Sprint apps and services. Like many of the carrier's other Android handsets, the device also supports Sprint ID, which lets users customize the five home screens with niche apps, ringers, wallpapers, widgets, and more.
