Geely, the Chinese car maker that bought Volvo from Ford earlier this year for $1.5 billion, will start selling cars in the UK towards the end of 2012. The cars will be distributed by Manganese Bronze Holdings, manufacturers of the iconic black London taxi.
The UK will be the first major west European country to sell the Chinese-built cars.
MBH will start by importing the Geely Emgrand EC7, C/D segment sized four-door saloons and five-door hatchbacks, initially with 1.5 and 1.8 liter gasoline engine options and will carry a five-year, 100,000 mile warranty with prices starting from around $15,400.
