LG Google TV to debut at CES 2012

LG Google TV to debut at CES 2012:

CES 2012 will offer a smorgasbord of gizmos and gadgets that are sure to drive geeks and curious onlookers alike wild, and we will have coverage on the ground thanks to Mark. With so many gadgets to discover in just four days, it would require a well planned journey to make sure that all the major points have been covered, barring the free beer and food that are served at Showstoppers and the Digital Experience. LG has announced that CES 2012 will be the platform where they roll out the LG Smart TV with Google TV, merging the familiarity of Google’s Android OS with the convenience and comfort of LG’s 3D and Smart TV technologies so that you are able to enjoy a whole new and attractive home entertainment option.

Havis Kwon, President and CEO of LG Electronics Home Entertainment Company, has this to say, “LG has constantly strived to provide consumers with wider choices in home entertainment that bring the highest level of sophistication and convenience. Through Google TV, LG has merged Google’s established Android operating system with LG’s proven 3D and Smart TV technologies, offering consumers a new and enthralling TV experience.”

One of the strongest suits for LG’s Google TV would be its ease of use, which is made possible courtesy of the combination of its Android-based user interface alongside and the Magic Remote QWERTY that was designed by LG. LG’s Google TV’s user interface as well as its main screen have been designed to ensure one can enjoy convenient browsing and content selection. Love to multi-task? That is not a problem, since it will also run alongside search, social networking and TV functions simultaneously. You can access the user interface through the Magic Remote QWERTY that merges the user-friendly benefits of LG’s Magic Remote with a QWERTY keyboard.

Not only that, LG’s own CINEMA 3D technology will also help Google TV deliver a home entertainment experience which is immersive, comfortable and convenient, right smack in the middle of your living room. All you need is a robot that serves you beer at your beck and call, and the ability to have it make sandwiches would also work in your favor. No idea on how much the LG Google TV would cost, but do expect to drop some serious coin if you are an early adopter.
