Verizon Wireless has a surprise for those who are on the lookout for a tablet – the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 that will play nice with Verizon Wireless’ 4G LTE network, ensuring you will be able to enjoy speedy connections no matter where you are, assuming there is coverage, of course, while positively making you surfing on a 3G connection feel as though you have been transported back to the Stone Age.


This year’s edition of CES will see the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 debut Stateside, and this particular tablet can be seen at Verizon Wireless’ booth that is located in the South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center if you happen to be making your way there. Needless to say, the same tablet will also hold a place down at Samsung’s booth just to make sure nobody misses out on this piece of tablet goodness. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 will come with a brilliant Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen display that makes viewing movies on this a truly eye-popping experience, never mind that it does not even deliver stereoscopic 3D yet. Enjoy movies, view pictures and play games that will be more lifelike than ever before with its high-definition 720p (1280 x 800) resolution display.


The Galaxy Tab 7.7 will run on a 1.4 GHz dual-core processor underneath the hood, where its HTML 5 Web browser delivers speedy access the Web, and you won’t find yourself running into the dreaded never-ending circle or hourglass icon whenever you stream movies or music anymore thanks to the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network. Measuring at just 7.9mm thin while tipping the scales at 340 grams, this tablet will no doubt turn on the style whenever you remove it from its sleeve or take it out from your bag.


There is also a Peel Smart Remote that accompanies the Galaxy Tab 7.7, letting you find and watch your favorite TV shows and discover new shows based on your preferences thanks to the built-in infrared blaster. In addition, your home entertainment system can also fall under the spell of the Peel Smart Remote with but a single finger tap. Other features include Mobile Hotspot capability, Android 3.2 Honeycomb, Samsung Apps support, a 3-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash and full 720p recording and 1080p playback, a front-facing 2-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi connectivity and 16GB of internal memory that can be further augmented by a microSD memory card slot.
