Whoever said that the netbook was dead and buried? Well its seems that despite the rise in the use of tablet devices, some manufacturers such as Acer feel that there is still life in the netbook sector and as such have introduced the new Aspire One 725.
This is usually an 11.6 inch version and as such offers the user a bigger screen and yet it the Acer Aspire One 725 is light and slim, just as netbook should be. Acer have pulled out all of the stops here as this model looks stylish and has a cool modern feel to it, so what else can we expect from this new netbook?
The new Acer Aspire One 725 has an 11.6 inch CineCrystal LED back lit display that offers either an HD resolution or 16:9 aspect ratio and there is the Acer HD CrystalEye web camera supported by the Acer Video Conference Manager.
It will be using the AMD APU Fusion technology this means that it will be powered by a AMD C-60 dual core processor and AMD Radeon HD 6290 graphics technology for great quality video and game play, the HDMI port allows the user to connect to an HD television is required.
The netbook is available in two cool colour options, Caribbean blue and Volcanic black both will have a smart glittery finish, while the palm rest is finished in a matte style. It is around one inch thick and weighs in at just 1.2 kilos.
According to the Acer Press Release, this is how they describe this newcomer to the netbook market;
