Asus launches new Republic Of Gamers range:
The Taiwan based computer maker Asus has announced its fifth version of the Republic Of Gamers range of gaming laptops; they are the G75VW and G55VW. These laptops will offer the buyer a nice sized 17.3 inch HD+, Full HD EWV LED Back light or the Full HD 3D LED Back light display that also comes with the optional Active shutter glasses with NVIDIA 3D Light Boost technology in 1080P resolution for perfect 3D vision.

As well that there are the Intel 3rd generation Core i7 processors, a choice of NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M and 670M graphics cards. There is up to 3 GB of GDDR5 VRAM and up to 16 GB of DDR3 DRAM as well as support for dual hard drives. To complete the entertainment value of this well equipped laptop, there is the high quality built-in subwoofer, which features the ASUS Sonic Master audio capabilities making sure that the sound quality is supreme.

According to the Asus press release covering the launch of the 15 inch G55VW and the 17 inch G75VW, the manufacturer says;

ASUS is proud to announce the ROG G75VW and G55VW gaming notebooks — the fifth generation of the popular and powerful Republic of Gamers G Series. Featuring Intel® 3rd generation Core™ i7 processors and the latest NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 660M/670M GPUs with up to 3GB of GDDR5 VRAM, up to 16GB of DDR3 DRAM and support for dual hard drives in RAID 0/1, the new G Series redefines what is possible with a gaming notebook. The dual-fan intelligent thermal mechanism ensures the system runs cooler, for longer, forcing the competition into submission. Active shutter glasses with NVIDIA 3D Light Boost™ technology on a Full HD screen, a built-in subwoofer and ASUS Sonic Master Lite audio further enhance the gaming experience.

Although there has not been any official announcement on prices, it is expected that the G75VW will have a starting price of around $1,600! It is no known when these machines will reach the retail sector, but it should not be that long, after all, why would Asus issue the press release then?
