Playstation graphics in smartphones, very close to a reality Imagination Technology

Imagination Technology, which created the PowerVR GPU chips mounted on the Droid Motorola, said that within three years, the phones will benefit from a graphics comparable to that of the PlayStation.

A strong statement but it is already real-world applications. In fact, the chip would be ready in terms of design. It will take years for even though this may be added to mobile devices. The new chipsets will be characterized by Imagination Technology multiprocessors and speculates that they may have three or four in one device.

At present, only Motorola makes phones with Android PowerVR chips, but the company expects more handset manufacturers can adopt this hardware solution (HTC is also working with PowerVR).

Some interesting applications are already seeing in the smartphone sector with the input of the HDMI port on MOTOROI and other models, a solution that allows you to use your phone as a true multimedia platform.

Further improvements are also planned for existing PowerVR chips. A software update could in fact bring Flash una’accelerazione able to increase the current performance up to 300% adoption of OpenCL GPU that will allow to better exploit the next terminal.

120,000 iPad ordered in the first 24 hours!

Two hours after the start of pre-orders in America the number of ordered iPad had risen to 50,000 units. Apple in the course of a day, however, has reached a very high number of orders and confirm the estimates are received from AAPL Sanity. In the first 24 hours were in fact ordered 120,000 iPad.

The statistics also provide models ordered by the preferences of users. The two areogrammi you can see below have been divided into two categories: models for flash memory (16GB, 32GB and 64GB) and 3G models with and without. The 3G version is considerably less than is shown by the popolaree only 31 percent of pre-orders, compared with 69% of the orders of the Wi-Fi + 3G version.

Before the release date in America, scheduled for April 3 from Apple is easy to assume ordered 300,000 units. Numbers, no need for a product (this is not a phone or a PC but one more tool), Apple will probably only be able to do.
