VW shows six—yes, six—Up!-based concepts in Frankfurt
Volkswagen’s biggest debut in Frankfurt was the production version of the tiny three-door Up!, after years of teasing and many, many concepts. (If you’re wondering about its U.S. prospects, we’ve been told that you shouldn’t get your hopes, uh, up.) All along, the manufacturer has stated its intention to grow the microcar into an entire family of small vehicles, and it presented six more Up!-based concepts as rolling theories—some of them production-ready—on where the model might go.
