Volkswagen would like you to believe that the NILS concept (we’re not sure if the name stands for something or if VW just really likes capital letters) is a Formula 1 race car for the streets, what with its one-passenger, rear-engine layout and outboard wheels. But don’t go thinking that these characteristics automatically qualify the NILS as a performance machine.
