The electronics firm Sony have launched a new range of laptops in the Vaio E series, it is the 14P offering a smart looking fourteen inch design that comes with some interesting colours, pink, white and black all finished with a colour coded accent.
Sony already have a steady market in the laptop sector and the VAIO E Series 14P is not going to do this any harm, in fact it is an attractive looking laptop that might be slightly underpowered, but if the price range is right then Sony have a winner here.
The all new VAIO E 14 inch (35.5 cm) VAIO Display offering a wide 16:9 aspect ratio and a 1366 x 768 of pixel resolutions and there is a built in 1.31 mega pixel HD Web Camera. It is powered by the entry level Intel Core i3-2350M Processor, while graphics are provided by the capable AMD Radeon HD 7670M graphics card with 1 GB VRAM and supporting the Intel HD Graphics 3000.
Sony have opted for 4 GB of DDR3 1333 MHz SDRAM and for the storage, there is a useful 500 GB hard disk drive (HDD). While connecting to the internet the WLAN 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi does the job, we assume that there is Ethernet capabilities and there is always the Bluetooth Ver. 4.0 + HS for connecting to mobile devices and accessories.
Other features include an HDMI port, a couple of standard speed USB 2.0 ports, a fast connecting USB 3.0 and a USB 3.0 with USB charge. There is of course the DVD SuperMulti Drive with a set of stereo speakers that use the Dolby Home Theater v4 sound system.
As for size this laptop measures a neat 245 mm (D) x 22.4 mm (H) x 341 mm (W) and weighs in at a hefty 2.3 kilos with standard supplied battery fitted that Sony claim will offer the user up to seven hours power. As this is a new product launch from Sony, there are no details on the price range or even where or when it is likely to be available to buy.
