Cadillac Dealerships Getting Spiffed Up to Greet New Top-Shelf Models

Cadillac Dealerships Getting Spiffed Up to Greet New Top-Shelf Models: "

Cadillac’s products have shaped up pretty dramatically in recent years. Its dealerships? Well, not so much. Now, as the brand prepares for the arrival of the big XTS, and possibly an even larger ultra-luxe flagship, some 200 of its dealers across the country have committed to facility upgrades aligned with those found at Suburban Cadillac in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Designed by the world-renowned Gensler architectural firm, the new facilities will include limestone tile, glass facades, and lots of English Oak paneling inside, as well as matte porcelain tile, “theatrical” lighting, fancy Knoll Barcelona chairs, chrome, brushed steel, and, of course, coffee bars. Cadillac also is in its second year of a partnership with the Ritz-Carlton hoteliers to train sales and service personnel on the fine art of coercing money out of customers with a smile. All this comes while the CTS and SRX are enjoying sales success, but not a moment too soon if the larger, pricier offerings can hope for the same.
