Nokia N Series:

The Nokia N series represent one of Nokia’s most successful lineups and includes a few amazing devices that come with all the features you might be looking for in a phone. If you are a Nokia fan and you would like to purchase a N series device, then let me give you an example or two.

I will start with the N95 that comes with 8GB of internal memory, just perfect for all your music and video files and for the photos you will take with the existing 5-megapixel camera. The phone also features a 2.8-inch display with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels and 3G support that makes it compatible with the fast networks of all major phone carriers. The connectivity options also include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS support. The only downside is that no expansion slot is available. When it comes to the keyboard, you will find only a few physical buttons for the main functions below the screen, because the alphanumeric keypad is revealed when you slide out the phone. Performance wise, the Nokia N95 provides a quality user experience. The GPS and browsing capabilities available are satisfying as well as battery life. The 1,200mAh Li-Ion battery ensures 5 hours of talk time over GSM and 11 days of standby time.

Another phone part of the N series is the N97, a touchscreen phone with a full QWERTY keyboard. In terms of design is a heavy phone because it weighs 5.29 ounces and measures 4.6 x 2.1 x 0.6 inches. The touchscreen measures 3.5 inches and supports 16.7 million colors and a resolution of 640 x 360 pixels. It’s not as exquisite as the screen of other smartphones on the market in terms of brightness and contrast, but it’s enough to support the phone’s main features. You will find more appropriate the software, especially the eight widgets you can accommodate on the screen at a time. That makes it easier to navigate the phone as well as the integrated task manager and the multitasking capabilities. You will also enjoy using the sliding mechanism that allows you to place the phone at an angle to better type on the QWERTY keyboard that’s revealed by the slide out motion. This slide out keyboard is well designed, with spacious keys that reduce the risk of mistyping.

Also part of the N series are the N96, the N79 and the N85 that come with a wide range of features, but still aren’t as sophisticated as the other smartphones on the market. However, Nokia’s devices are known for their reliability and high quality.
