The Nissan Rogue rolls into the 2012 model year with few changes—it received a subtle refresh for 2011—but it did manage to inherit one very cool feature: Nissan and Infiniti’s trick Around View four-camera array, which was the first of its kind when it debuted on the Infiniti EX. For those not familiar, the Around View camera stitches together live video from cameras mounted to each side mirror, the front grille, and the tailgate to give drivers a birds-eye view on the nav screen of objects near the vehicle while maneuvering at low speeds.
Okay, so this isn’t huge news, but the availability of the system on the Rogue marks it as the cheapest Nissan or Infiniti to gain the system as an option. Plus, it’s cool. The Around View monitor comes bundled in the $3900 SL package, which can only be had on the up-level Rogue SV. Buying a Rogue so equipped will set you back $29,930. Check out Nissan’s animated video below to see how Around View works.
