Chrysler Launches Enhanced SRT Website

The magic is in the initials, I guess. Chrysler is heavily promoting its newest SRT brand as it gets ready to unveil the 2013 SRT Viper.

As part of its mission Chrysler’s in-house performance group, Street and Racing Technology (SRT), has launched a thoroughly revamped driveSRT.com website. It provides an in-depth look at various engineering and product design stories based on the SRT vehicle lineup. It also delivers an online SRT magazine and its involvement in motorsports.

Chrysler hopes the website will become a new social hub for the SRT community. It enables visitors to connect with owners and fans through direct feeds to:

  • Facebook: facebook.com/driveSRT

  • Twitter: @driveSRT

  • YouTube: youtube.com/driveSRT

  • Flickr: flickr.com/driveSRT

“We’re excited to bring the newly redesigned driveSRT.com to life,” said Ralph Gilles, President and CEO – SRT Brand and Motorsports. “The new site not only offers more exclusive content but it also provides unique ways to connect and stay connected with many enthusiasts groups that we’re building the new SRT brand around.”

A full section on driveSRT.com is dedicated to the Viper, including historical information and racing news. Chrysler is also inviting Viper fans from the around the world to view a live webcast as the 2013 SRT Viper is revealed at the New York Auto Show on April 4.

Mercedes-Benz has AMG and Ford has SVT – will SRT become as revered as those initials? And, of course, we must not forget BMW’s M, Audi’s S, Cadillac’s V and Jaguar’s R ‘single initial’ performance divisions either.
