This is the latest desk top replacement from Eurocom, they call it the Leopard 2.0 and it offers a wide range of options and upgrades that can take the final price sky high if the buyer is not careful. However, what we are looking at here is a laptop that is at the starting point more or less and even so it still very impressive in both specs and looks. Eurocom may not be the first laptop brand of choice, but maybe it is worth a look.
Eurocom Leopard 2.0 is a 18.4-inch laptop with a Full high definition glossy LED back lit display offering 1920 x 1080 of pixel resolution and with a built in 2 mega pixel web camera for handy face to face conversations. It will be powered by the top of the range Intel Core i7 2670M extreme processor, supporting the Intel HM67 chipset and with graphics being provided by the highly capable NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M (1.5 GB DDR5) single or dual SLI graphics card.
Internal memory starts at 8 GB of DDR3-1333 but can be as high as 24 GB according to the demands of the buyer and storage starts at the 7200 RPM 500 GB SATA HDD, but this is upgradable to up to 4 TB of storage with four physical drives made up with a choice of either a solid state drive (SSD), hard disk drive (HDD) or Solid Hybrid drive.
Networking is straight forward with a Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0 connection and other features include the THX TruStudio Pro sound system, a 9-in-1 card reader, 8x DVD burner, a fingerprint reader, two fast connecting USB 3.0 ports, there is also a DVI and HDMI port too, for connecting to a larger external display. The Leopard 2.0 weighs 5.6 kg (12.32 lbs) with the 8-cell battery in place and measures 439 mm (W) x 299 mm (D) x 44 to 65 (H) mm (17.56 inch x 11.96 inch x 1.76 to 2.6 inch).
According to the Eurocom website, the Leopard 2.0 will have a starting price of around $1,600!
