Massive savings on Lenovo ThinkPad X130e:

Now before we start here on the smart looking Lenovo ThinkPad X130e, we have an issue that will concern many consumers and it is about price. Lenovo have this practice of having an advertised price and a web price, in the case the advertised price starts from $938, yet the web price is merely $429 that is a saving of $509! What is that all about? We know that there are marketing gimmicks and of course, offers to encourage pre-ordering. But that is one big drop in price for laptop that has not even been launched yet.

Anyway, there is no escaping the quality of this laptop and despite it supposed to have been ready in December, it seems that February is now the estimated delivery date for the ThinkPad X130e at whatever price you can get it for! The base model will be powered by AMD and because this primarily designed for students, it comes with a handy rugged case with rubber bumper around the top.

The X130e has an 11.6 inch W HD LED Anti-Glare Low-light sensitive VGA with a 1366 x 768 of pixel resolutions and it also has a handy built in web camera. As mentioned earlier it will be powered by the AMD Fusion Processor E-300 with 1.3 Ghz, 1 MB L2, 1.0 GHz FSB and supporting the AMD Radeon HD 6310 Graphics and AMD Fusion Processor E-300.

On board memory goes up to 4 GB of DDR3 RAM at 1333 MHz (1 DIMM) and there is a small but still useful 250 GB Hard Disk Drive (HDD) at 5400 rpm for storage purposes. Networking is an essential feature of the X130e with its integrated ThinkPad 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi wireless LAN adapters, as well as integrated mobile broadband and disappointingly, there will be no Bluetooth available.

Lenovo say that the ThinkPad X130e will ship around the 13th February 2012 with a starting price of $429!
