This concept won’t make it to reality.

Work on a production version of the stunning Audi Quattro Concept that was unveiled at the 2010 Paris Motor Show has been abandonded by Audi’s performance division, Quattro Gmbh. A company official said that the division, which is also hard at work on the revamp of the R8 due next year, just didn’t have the manpower or resources to manage both projects, while at the same time developing RS models for the A4 and A6. The Quattro would have used a shortened version of the A5 platform with a combination of aluminum space frame construction and a composite body in a vehicle with a target weight of just 2700 lbs. Like the concept, the car would haven powered all four wheels from a front longitudinally mounted turbo 5-cylinder engine.
