Porsche Cayman on Hiatus – 2012 Geneva Auto Show:

2013 Porsche Boxster

With an all-new 911 ramping up, a new Boxster going on sale and a rework of the Cayman due by year’s end, Porsche has halted production of its mid-engined coupe and won’t resume it until the new car is ready for assembly. In other words, all the first generation Caymans available have already been built. Production of the car was actually halted last November as the 911 started coming out in great numbers and the Boxster began pre-production. Company officials said it was too many models to manage in light of the fact that in addition to building the new 991 generation of the 911, it still is building 997 generation models in the Turbo and GTS.
