Morgan postponed the official debut of the new Eva GT to the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. The new flagship of the British carmaker was scheduled to make its debut at the 2012 edition of the Swiss event, but apparently Morgan technicians have found something wrong with its all-new magnesium bodyshell, an issue that prompted the decision to delay the launch of the new 4-seater by two years.

The new Morgan Eva GT will be equipped with a 3-litre 6-cylinder unit courtesy of BMW, that will provide the car with an output of 306 hp and 400 Nm of peak torque. Weighing in at only 1,250 kg, the Eva GT should be able to go from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.5 secs, with 270 km/h (167 mph) of top speed and an average fuel consumption of 6.25 l/100km

Two transmission options will be made available: a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed automatic, the latter supplied by renowned German company ZF. Quite predictably, the car will come with a number of modern accessories such as Xenon headlight, sat-nav and so on, but we have just been given another two years to talk about that, so we will save it for the next update.
