When Eurocom announce a new laptop, it is something that cannot be missed for any reason and the Panther 4.0 will make you pleased that your took time out to take a look for like its name the Panther 4.0 is a real beast of a machine.
The first that you will notice is the size, its thick at nearly two and half inches, it is heavy at over twelve pounds and of course, even the base model is fully loaded with features and specs, this all means that the Panther 4.0 is something else.
Eurocom have gone for a 17.3 inch full HD display with a choice between Matte, Glossy or 3D displays offering a 1920 x 1080 of pixel resolution and built in 2 mega pixel FHD web camera.
It will be powered by Intel’s latest chip, the 6 core, 12 thread, 130W desktop i7-3960X Processor Extreme edition this is of course, based on the Intel X79 Express Chipset Sandy Bridge-E architecture.
When it comes to graphics there is a choice of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580M GPUs, the NVIDIA Quadro 5010M running in Single or Dual SLI (Scalable Link Interface) Video Technology mode or there is even the AMD Radeon HD 6990M running in single or Dual CrossFireX mode.
Internal memory offers up to 32 GB of DDR3 1600MHz RAM with four 8 GB SODIMM 204 pin modules and this laptop has support for four Solid State, Hard Disk or Hybrid storage drives and RAID 0/1/5/10, so storage is not an issue with the laptop either.
Other features include the three fast USB 3.0 ports, two standard USB 2.0 ports and the HDMI 1.4a output port. The Panther measures 16.76 inches x 11.44 inches x 2.31 inches and it weighs in at 12.1 pounds while offering just one hour of built-in Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) battery power.
The Panther 4.0 will be coming out in March with a starting price of around $2,700!
