New iPod Touch And iPhone With 1GB RAM Being Tested Internally By Apple

New iPod Touch And iPhone With 1GB RAM Being Tested Internally By Apple:
With the New iPad release taken care of, Apple is now focusing it’s energy on releasing the two most awaited products of 2012, a new iPhone as well as a new iPod touch. A report released earlier today reveals that the Cupertino outfit is currently internally testing these two products which will allegedly have 1GB of RAM. Up till now, details regarding the next iPhone and iPod touch have been rare, but as the release time-frame nears, more details begin to emerge.

Much has been speculated about the design of these two upcoming Apple devices. Since Apple released iPhone 4S back in October last year and used the pre-existing iPhone 4 design, it is now known for sure that the next iPhone will definitely come with a new design. Apple wouldn’t release another iPhone with the same old design, and since the iPod touch is regarded as an iPhone without a phone, it can be said for sure that even the iPod touch will get a new design.
Today’s report reveals that Apple is internally testing a new iPhone and iPod touch. The internal new iPhone prototype boasts an A5X dualcore processor, the same processor that Apple ships with the New iPad. These processors are coupled with 1GB of RAM, a substantial upgrade over the current 512MB RAM. To be precise, these processors are based on S5L8945X architecture and are codenamed N96. To put things in perspective, last year it was uncovered that iPhone 4S processor was codenamed N95.
We never really know for sure what Apple does with it’s products until the company itself reveals the details. For long we have heard rumours that next iPhone will come with a quadcore A6 processor, yet the internal prototypes are currently being tested with dualcore A5X ones. Design changes are certain, but the source reveals that internal prototypes are being disguised to look like existing iPhones, so as to minimize the chance of leaks from within the company itself.
The new iPod touch will definitely have the same processor as the new iPhone. This question is, whether it’s going to be a dualcore or a quadcore. It should be noted that Android manufacturers such as HTC already have quadcore smartphones out in the market, for example the HTC One X. It seems illogical for Apple to keep itself out of this race, as Android has proven itself to be a strong competitor against iOS.
