UnitCom launches the LesanceNB S3431/L:
This is the third new laptop launch from UnitCom in as many weeks and it is not a case of third time lucky either, because the Lesance range of laptops is very popular not just in Japan either.
In a couple of days on the 24th March, UnitCom will start selling the latest addition to their range, the LesanceNB S3431/L. It is classed as an ultrabook and actually lives up to this, with fast starting from sleep mode and is very thin at just 19 mm.

But there is much more to this ultrabook than first meets the eye, such as the fourteen inches of colour LCD HD support glossy display  with a 1366 × 768 of pixel resolution and a handy built in 1.3 mega pixel web camera.
It will be powered by the middle range Intel Core i5 2467M processor with 1.6 GHz 2 core HT cache 3 MB making four threads in total. There is support for the Intel HM65 Express chipset and graphics are coming from the Intel HD Graphics 3000 card.

There will be 4 GB of DDR3 1333 RAM but this is expandable by a further 4 GB through the DIMM slot. There is a hybrid storage solution in place, with a 500 GB mechanical hard disk drive (HDD) and then there is the 64 GB solid state drive (SSD) for digital storage.

Networking has the normal wireless IEEE 802.11 b/g/n and wired GigabitLAN 1000 BASE-T. While for connectivity, there is the SD Memory Stick card reader, three standard USB 2.0 ports and useful mini D-Sub15 pin. This ultrabook measures just 19 mm (H), 333 mm (W) and 230 mm (D), while it weighs in at just 1.64 kilos with the lithium-ion battery installed that UnitCom say should be good for about five hours of normal use.
UnitCom are expecting to start selling the LesanceNB S3431/L in Japan with a starting price of around $730, it is not yet known if this ultrabook will be available in other markets yet.
