Find Libraries (DLLs) and their Functions in Windows with Static Import Finder

Windows has lots of DLLs or Dynamic Link Libraries which controls the way it functions. The number of libraries are large in number that you might not know which feature or function (exe file) is using a particular library. Static Import Finder is a nice freeware tool for Windows which can find and display the details of all the libraries in a particular folder. Static Import Finder finds all matching functions/dll statically imported by exe or dll in a specified directory.

You just need to select the folder from which you want to get the dll details. Once you specify the folders, the app searches for all the dlss and finds the function name and the path of the dll. You can export results to a .html, csv, xml or .txt file.


There is also option to searh based on library name or function and you can also select the file types to search.


Static Import Finder is a nice and simple tool for finding out the functions of libraries.
