Set File and Folder Permissions for System Files with NTFS Permissions Tool

Set File and Folder Permissions for System Files with NTFS Permissions Tool: "

With the release of Windows Vista, Microsoft has made the system files read only for normal users in Windows. You cannot delete or modify system files unless you take ownership of the files. This feature was carried forward to Windows 7 as well. Although Windows allows you to modify the permission, it is not a direct process. NTFS Permissions Tool is a simple freeware tool which allows you to set permission on any file or folder in Windows and also change the ownership of files.

The application can set the permissions, owner and also the account for any file or folder. You can select any file or folder through the tool and then set the permissions. Double click on the file or folder brings the advanced settings option from where you can allow or deny for various actions.

For any folder, you can take a backup of the permission and can be used to set the permission for another folder. You can also restore the original permission using the backup. NTFS Permissions Tool is a nice tool specially for changing file permission and ownership which otherwise is a tedious task through Windows interface.
