HP updates the Mini 210

HP updates the Mini 210:
Despite the competition HP are still one of the largest producers of computers in the global market place and they still have faith in the netbook, because the company has updated the popular Mini 210 series netbook.

The changes mean that the netbook is powered by the latest Cedar Trail processors from Intel, which means the netbook is not only faster, but is going to be easier on the battery too. This smart little netbook comes in a neutral charcoal colour as standard, although for an additional $19 there is a choice of crimson red, ocean drive, luminous rose and sweet purple.

The Mini 210 series has a 10.1 inch diagonal WSVGA LED backlit Display with a 1024 x 600 of pixel resolutions and there is a built in web camera with an useful integrated digital microphone. This range of netbooks will be powered by the all new Cedar Trail version of Intel Atom Processor, starting with the N2600 dual core, 1.60 GHz, 1M/L2 and 800 Mhz FSB. There is the normal 1 GB of DDR3 System Memory (1 Dimm) and a choice of storage ranging from the 320 GB to 500 GB 5400 RPM hard disk drive (HDD).

There is no Bluetooth, just the 802.11 b/g/n WLAN for networking, while connectivity comes in the form of three standard USB Ports, a RJ-45, a VGA port and a Multi Format Digital Media Card Reader. This neat netbook measures 10.55 inch (L) x 7.51 inch (W) x 0.9 to 1.28 inch (H) and weighs in at 3.1 pounds with the 6 Cell Lithium Ion Battery pack installed that HP say can offer the user Up to eight hours of battery life, depending on the work load.
The HP Mini 210 series netbook is on sale now and comes with a starting price of around $300
